This event is now sold out. There are still some spots left for the same seminar in Scottsdale on October 18th.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to dive deep into the world’s most famous wine region.
Bordeaux is arguably the most important wine region in France, if not the world. The wines of Bordeaux have been considered some of the best produced for hundreds of years. Wars have been fought over control of the region and ancient cultures celebrated its wines. Even today, Bordeaux wine are the most sought after and collected anywhere. Although planted to the wine grape for thousands of years, Bordeaux first became important internationally in A.D. 1152, when Henry II of England wed Eleanor of Aquitaine who controlled the region. With this royal marriage, Bordeaux officially came under the control of the English, and the wines began to be exported. Today Bordeaux is considered the world’s most commercially successful wine region, if not its highest quality one. With nearly 20,000 producers, red wines dominate the region, and Bordeaux is the home to both Cabernet and Merlot. As we will see in our seminar, dry white wines from this region are also very good, and the late harvest Semillon grapes that are infected with botrytis are hard to top as far as dessert wines go. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to learn about this iconic wine region. We are only doing one night of this seminar in September. There will be others in October.
