We at Vinum55 are happy to announce a very special evening with New Zealand winemaker, Jules Taylor.
To understand and appreciate the wines of Jules Taylor, one needs to understand the story that brought these extraordinary small-batch wines to life. Having studied zoology, only to discover a shortage of available positions in her field, Jules continued her studies in the sciences, this time focusing on the farming and chemistry involved in producing great wines. Upon completion of her post-graduate studies in Oenology and Viticulture, Jules Taylor went on to get her hands dirty working abroad in Italy and Australia. On returning home to Marlborough, she slotted straight away in to a job making wine for Kim Crawford, Saint Clair and Cape Campbell, and that was where Jules Taylor Wines begun, producing 200 cases under her own label in 2001.
